#FridayFacts. Love is a verb
The word ‘love’ is often thrown around carelessly, particular on Valentine's day, at weddings and on other such occasions. Rather than describing something deep and lasting, it’s commonly used to describe a short-term mood or even a passing feeling.
Yet love is no fickle thing, and rather than a feeling or mood, it’s a verb, doing word, an action. It’s about commitment and faithfulness. The love of a partner or even a mate doesn’t give up when it gets too hard. It doesn't stop when they cease being 'useful'.
There is enough in life that is fragile and unreliable, so let your love of others offer them an island of certainty and safety in a sea of confusion and doubt. This is sort of love that we should aspire to today- to give and be hopeful to receive.
